Bev Hosker Motivational Award
Criteria and Nomination Procedure
Introduction
The School Act, section 8, gives parents the right to advise on all matters relating to education. BCCPAC encourages parents to take on leadership roles in public education and to demonstrate the important role of parents.
Background
The Bev Hosker Motivational Award was created in 2003 to honour Bev Hosker (1955-2003), a tireless advocate for parents and students in the BC public education system. Bev felt strongly about parents educating themselves to ensure their children's needs are met.
